In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Grand Prairie; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Texas are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ9 PM. Man, I feel kind of bad leaving this kind of a review, because I've worked in fast food and I know how much of a struggle it can be, and I've been here numerous times in the past and never had a negative experience, food and service were always great and speedy, the owner himself is a wonderful guy. But man oh man, this was literally the worst all around experience I've had in forever ordering takeout from somewhere. The menu has changed drastically since I last came in, and that's fine, but they have a small paper taped halfway to the side of the glass case at the register saying they still had their older Chinese fare, which I didn't see until after I had ordered because it's so non-prominent, which sucks because I would have gotten the sesame chicken like usual had I known it was still available. The wait was also nearly 30 minutes which again, I understand, I get being short staffed and there are other orders besides my own. The staff itself was fine, they weren't rude or unprofessional in any way. But the food I got was both wrong and almost entirely inedible, and certainly not worth the wait. I ordered the chicken lo mein, spicy, which I thought mean the chicken would be spic

Great costumer service! Love the Rangoonns but the vegetable fried rice was extremely oilyβso much that there was visible oil pooling at the bottom of the container. The rice itself felt greasy and hard to enjoy because of it. I understand fried rice has oil, but this was way beyond normal and made the dish almost inedible. I hope the restaurant can adjust this because it really took away from the experience.

We have been going to Jβs for years but sadly I think today was our last visit. The staff was friendly but the rising prices and lack of quality has turned me. I ordered a 10 piece family pack with lo mein, a large French fry and an order of fried Oreo cookies. $30 They included 6 sauces, which I appreciated and the lo mein came in a large to go box but the smell/flavor is so off putting I canβt eat it. I loved the old lo mein, this is NOT it! Different noodles, different flavor. The 10 pieces of chicken I ordered were actually about 20 or so small pieces that looked like some bottom of the barrel leftover scraps. Iβm very disappointed. There was a time when I worked from home and ordered Jβs weekly for my family. I was a βfrequent flyerβ lol! They would sometimes add some dumplings or an egg roll with my order and a nice hand written note. Today I went in to place a to go order, again staff was great but the quality of the food has definitely gone downhill. This is a picture of the lo mein and chicken in a small styrofoam bowl. That is 4 βpiecesβ of chicken, not the big pieces advertised on their social media.

The customer service was outstanding, and the chicken strips were satisfactory. However, the combination fried rice was notably substandard, characterized by a lack of flavor and a mushy texture. Consequently, I will not be returning. While the presentation was appealing and the inclusion of vegetables was appreciated, the overall quality did not meet my expectations.
